We've been staying in this Hotel for weeks because of Hurricane Harvey the staff has bent over backwards to accommodate all of our needs to makes us feel at home as possible , the manager is polite he has been allowing church groups bring in food so we can have a hot meal for Dinner he has also contributed to this fact and with a heavy heart I would everyone to know this Hotel has 10 stars in my eyes my God bless everyone working here.
One stars. The bathtub hardly drained while I was taking a shower. It was up to my ankles in 10 minutes. Hot water was non existent and it took forever to turn off the water from the tub. This is coming from someone who visits HIE about 10-15 times a year on trips, so I know how to turn it on and off, and what kind of quality to expect from an HIE hotel. I’m hoping breakfast will be of better quality, but I’m not holding my breath. Did I mention it was 60 degrees in the room when I walked in? I’ll update this after I’ve tried their breakfast. Probably better off at the nearby Luxury Inn or Best Western. I’m sure you’ll get the same kind of quality there but with half the cost of this “Holiday Inn Express”.

The room was good. However, the first two days I was there, I was locked out of my room. We were told breakfast started at 6 am. Our group showed up at 6 and it wasn't ready. We were told the eggs take a while to cook. Guess coming in and getting the food ready before it opened hadn't crossed their mind. On a positive note, the head housekeeper, Rosie, was awesome.
Very Nice place considering the options...plus they had food for the Hurricane evacuees every night very nice of them...
